A US-based broad-line electronics distributor founded in 1976, selling electronic components (resistors, capacitors), audio/video equipment, tools, and accessories to hobbyists and professionals, and later recognized as a leading North American distribution partner for maker-community boards such as Raspberry Pi, micro:bit, and BeagleBone Black. Coverage was centered on the United States market. Following a 2016 bankruptcy filing, the company was acquired by Newark Electronics (Premier Farnell/Avnet), and its standalone website was discontinued and consolidated into Newark.com.
