村田製作所は1944年創業、京都府長岡京市に本社を置く電子部品メーカー。積層セラミックコンデンサ（MLCC）で世界最大手として知られ、インダクタ、EMI対策部品、抵抗器、センサ、水晶などのタイミングデバイス、Wi-Fi/BluetoothモジュールやDC-DCコンバータまで幅広く手掛ける。材料からの一貫生産を強みとしている。

20132009年に村田製作所と資本・業務提携を開始した東京電波は、2013年8月の株式交換により村田製作所の完全子会社となった。
